Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

Desertion

My husband of 24 yrs left 6 months ago saying he would return in a few hours. He never returned. I found out two months later where he was. He has a self owned business, IT. He got a house in Washington DC where he runs the business out of. The house is rented under our business name. He moved a woman into that business. He owes the IRS 60,000 dollars from not paying taxes on his consulting checks. They are garnishing my wages because they can'tget to his account. I am being evicted and my utilities are being cut off. Can I move into to our place of business with him (as crazy as that sounds) so I don't have to be homeless. He has not filed for a divorce nor have I due to the fact tht he has taken all our money and hidden it and the IRS is taking almost all of my check.

According to your account of matters, your husband purchased this house in Washington D.C.

after he left you which means that your name is neither on the house note nor on the deed, although, at least some marital or other jointly held business property/funds may have been used to complete the transaction.

However, given the paucity of facts, one would have to conclude that at this point, under applicable D.C. law, it's unlikley that you have any legal right to take up residence there at the D.C. property, unilaterally so to speak, unless your husband gives you permission to do so.
