Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

Disorderly Conduct

I was charged with disorderly conduct on Jan. 5,2008. I have no record at all, what is the liklihood of me getting in any major trouble? Do I need an attorney? My husband pointed a gun at me and I was hesterical, I would think this would be a reason to be disorderly!

Re: Disorderly Conduct

The charge of disorderly conduct in a public place is a Class 1 criminal misdemeanor and therefore a jailable offense. (See Va Code Sec. 18.2-415.)

Consequently, you should therefore have an attorney to represent you in this matter.
