Division of property
When my daughter got married in 2005 her husband already had purchased a house and was paying on a mortgage which is in his name only. If a divorce takes place within a year of being married does she have any legal rights to the house.

If he purchased the house prior to marriage and still maintains the deed in his own name then no she has no marital interest in the property as it is classified under Virginia Code 20-107.1 as his separate property.
