Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

divorce and dating

Hi,

My question is in regards to a property settlement agreement in Virginia. I have been separated since Dec 06. I have not filed for divorce yet. The agreement my spouse entered into was a property settlement agreement. In our agreement it states that we can live as though we are unmarried after Dec 06. What happens if I start a new relationship? Does it affect any part of our agreement and could it impact my military career? I am an officer in the Army? Could it affect my visitation with my son? Thank you very much for your time.

Re: divorce and dating

No, unlikely, as long as you're not violating any provisions of the PSA(Property Settlement Agreement).
