Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

My divorce was final in March, however my ex is not paying me the settlement amount that we agreed to monthly. This is for joint debt and it is in our final decree. What form or document do I need to provide to the court to reopen the case.. I want it payroll deducted! I live in Chesterfield, Virginia

You need to go to the clerk's office of the circuit court(civil division) that handled the divorce and pay the fee to have the case reopended. Then the appropriate Rule to Show Cause documents will need to be prepared and filed to have your delinquent former spouse brought before the court and found in contempt and appropriately sanctioned (if possible).

If you yourself have no experience with the above referenced documents, you will

likely need to retain the services of an attorney to handle it for you.
