How long does it take for a couple to be able to file for a divorce in the state of VA? How long do I have to wait to get papers signed and the divorce finalized? Do you have to wait a certain amount of time before you can have the divorce is complete?

Six to twelve months of continuous separation with no cohabitaion, and, depending upon whether there are children or financial/property issues and a property settlement agreement between the spouses filed with the court.
