when i got a divorce in 2007, i was supposed to get 70% from our sale of house. i never got anything b/c my ex took out a loan against the house for $35,000.00. when the house was sold that got paid off. never got anything from that $35,000.00. with that money he paid off all of his debt & I am still in debt b/c of him. is there anything that I can do? i did sign the papers for that loan but did not know it was against the house until after we sold it. Can I get any money from him? he is now trying to take some child support away from me b/c i do not have a job & I have custody of our 2 children. he says that since I don't have a job. He is in the navy and makes more money than my new husband makes and we are still struggling even w/ the child support he does pay me b/c I got stuck w/ debt from him. Right now, I am not working but I am going back to college to become a teacher. Is there anything that I can do mainly concerning the money from the house? Please help. I really don't have money for a lawyer and he does. I really need some advice. I love my children and they are a lot happier w/ me, my new husband. Plus I have family that live in Vrgiina where he has no family members here in Virginia.

More facts related to the circumstances under which you signed the papers for the second loan would appear necessary. If you had an attorney representing you in your divorce, this is the person whom you should consult regarding the matter(in my opinion).
