If there is an order on the court granting the divorce that the house be sold, or if any agreement between you that the house should be sold was incorporated in the final order of divorce, there should be provisions for dealing with such deadlock. If not, you may have to file what is called a suit for partition, asking the court to determine the interests of the parties and the value of the property, and appoint a commissioner of sale to get it all done. This can be an expensive process.
