eighteen year old student

our eighteen year old is still a high

school student but wants to leave

home. Do we have any rights to keep

her here while she is still in high

school?

I believe, as an adult, she may live where she pleases. The school would have to be notified. I would recommend that you review your support obligations as many agreements require support until age 19 only where the child is still in high school AND living at home.

Your 18 year old student is now legally an adult, and, consequently, the answer must necessarily be no, as far as I am aware.
