e-mail used in divorce case

My spouse broke in to my e-mail account to obtain my personal e-mail. It is aginst Virginia law to do this so the judge threw them out. However, his attorney supena to yahoo and has obtained all of my e-mail in two accounts for the past year. Is this legal?

Yes, quite probably so; Yahoo merely complying with a lawful subpoena served upon it for certain information at issue in a pending case.
