Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

Emancipation

What do I need to do to get emancipated? How long do I need to have held a job? Is there anything in particular I should or need to do to get emancipated?

Re: Emancipation

For your purposes, emancipation most likely means living on your own, with the intent to do so, and with your own resources either with the express or implied consent of your parent(s)or other legal guardian and carrying out the responsuibilites of everyday living as any other adult would in your particular situation.

There are no magic cutoff points or criteria that

suddenly confer emancipation upon a minor.
