emancipation

i live in virginia i am 17 year old male i have a job, a place to live, and i can support myself, do i need parental consent to be emancipated?

Yes, but since you're close to 18, rather than fooling with emancipation, I would suggest that you await a few more turns of the globe which will naturally bring you to your majority(18)---and all without any paperwork to be filed or court hearings to be scheduled to make it happen.
