Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

Emancipation

I was wondering what the circumstances of getting emancipated are. I am 16 years old, and right now I cant stand being around my family for more then 20 minutes at a time. I am currently attending high school and I am going into my junior year, I am getting a job very shortly, but I would like to know the circumstances. Thank You.

Re: Emancipation

The reasons you have advanced are not good ones

to justify emancipation, which as a general proposition, rarely works to the advantage of the minor who later on will usually regret the decision to emancipate.

Therefore, I will leave it to another BBS attorney, if one is willing, to provide the specifics for what you are asking.
