Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

Emancipation

I am 16 years old. My dad is a lawyer, and my mom doesnt work. my mom is abusive, and ive told several counselors in the past of this.

my parents are currently split, but do not plan on divorcing. Can i choose where to live, with my mom or my dad, legally? I will not live with my mom, and if I am made to, could i be emancipated?
