Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

I am ending my 8 yr relationship with my boyfriend. We have a 6 yr old together. I would like to establish child support and visitation amicably, maybe mediation? How do I arrange that in my state? Also, if an agreement cannot be reached amicably, what are the steps to establish support and visitaion? Thank you,

Stacy W.

I would suggest that you contact your local district DCSE (Division of Child

Support Enforcement) office to arrange to come in for an appointment to

discuss the services which this government agency can offer to

you at virtually no cost.
