Am I entitled to any of my ex-husbands retirement? We were divorced in 1998 after 11 years of marriage and I cannot find anything in my final divorce decree regarding retirement.

Well, then, you may have waived your right to claim a portion of his retirement

if you can't find any reference to it in the final decree. However, to be certain,

I would suggest that you arrange for a consultation with a local attorney

who is knowledgeable and experienced in Virginia divorce matters and who

should be able to advise you as to where you may stand in regard to this issue

from a legal perspective.
