Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia
Is it ethical for an attorney to schedule a consultation and then after the consultation tell you he is too busy to take your case but still charge for it? He should have known he couldn\'t tak the case prior to setting the appointment. Thanks Frank

This is not unethical and happens all the time. Issues in consultations are separate from those involved in actually taking the case and attorneys have no obligation to take the case, absent an agreement to do so. Good luck.
