Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia
expected form of abuse
My son is not even 3 yrs ols, a month ago he goes to his dad's with brand new shoes. they were black and had orange stiches around them. He comes back and the stiches are broken. I ask my son how did the stiches break, he said, ''daddy did it'' My friend standing there said ''no had to of fallen'', Gavin again said, ''no daddy did it with knife from his pocket''. I dropped it, the next day he wanted to go to the park, and I said ater I take your shoes back, again my son replied'' Why Daddy cut with his knife from pocket'' I said I dont know what happen but we got to take them back. today my son has a 1/2 inch gash on his chin, I said what happen, his response ''daddy did it'' I said you fell? He said, ''No daddy did it with his hand'' He is not even 3 how do I know if he is being truthful or not. What if something is going on? But how do I prove it, who believes a child under 3?

Re: expected form of abuse
If you believe that your child is being abused by his father, you should contact your local Child Protective Services agency and let them investigate the claim, if such may be warranted.
