Family Law/Child Support

My son's father just got arrested for failure to appear to a child support court date with me. He owes over $10,000. His bail is $1,500 and his buddy is going to pay will I see any of that money?

No, not likely, but at the next scheduled hearing in the matter you should request that the court order that he post a performance bond which is to be turned over to you and credited towards his accumulated arrearages whenever he again defaults.
