One does not file " a divorce in the newspaper", but rather in the circuit court

of your resident city or county. And, if you are then unable to serve a copy of the

filed divorce papers on your husband for lack of a valid address for him (after diligent search), then you may seek the permission of the court to publish a notice of your divorce under the legal ads section of the local newspaer for three consecutive weeks or so which will serve to give your husband what the law terms "constructive notice" of your divorce, and you should then be able to proceed forward with the rest of the steps leading to the entry of your final decree of divorce.
