Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

What do I need to do to file to have my son\'s father sign over his parental rights? He is currently causing severe emotional damage to my child and I would like for him to no longer be allowed to contact my son in any way. What are my options and how do I go about getting something done as soon as possible?

One does not merely "sign over" ones parental rights in the Commonwealth of Virginia(or elsewhere for that matter); only a court of proper jurisdiction has such authority to terminate

the rights of a parent.
