Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

I filed for legal separation September of 2009 in Virginia. I have since moved due to my job to Alabama. I did not move to Alabama till August of 2010. Which state do I file my divorce in? She does not live in Virginia anymore either, her job moved her to another part of Alabama in June of 2010. I have not moved all of my vehicle registrations and my job is based out of Va. I was living with my mother there because our house was on the market. It has sold.

You would file for your divorce in Alabama once you have resided there suffciently long enough to comply with their rules governing such matters.
