Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia
I filed for sole custody of my kids because my husband wasn't paying child support or making any effort to spend time with them. We moved from VA to CA because of his job. After 4 months we seperated and I had to stay in a homeless shelter with my kids. After filing the custody paperwork, which I did with the help of legal aide, i didn't know that i wasnt suppossed to cross state lines. I went back to VA where my family and support is and where I now have employment and a home. Why should I be subject to parental kidnapping, if Im making a better life for my kids and what can I do to avoid going back to CA where I have no support, no job, and would wind up back in a homeless shelter?

Parental Kidnapping? No, I doubt that federal prosecutors and the FBI would be getting involved in a parental kidnapping charge based upon these facts.
