Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

Final Divorce Decree

How can the final divorce decree be different from the orginal complaint paper? Spouse is not wanting to pay for something that was agreed in complaint but does not state in decreed. Divorce has been final for 1 year and now he is not wanting to pay.

Re: Final Divorce Decree

Better have the lawyer who represented you in the divorce review the paperwork. (Hopefully, you had one.)

If not, you'll likely need to find an attorney who handles divorce matters to review it and advise you, accordingly. (FYI, things are not normally agreed to in a complaint for divorce but rather grounds for the action are set forth.)
