Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

Garnishment

During my divorce the judge awarded my wife spousal support at $200.00 a month & $25,000 from my pension. He ordered these amounts as a garnishment against my wages with penalties & interest in the final divorce decree in October 2002. July of 2007 a different judge placed this garnishment in the 'end law cases' and the wage assignment was released. My ex-wife's attorney sent another garnishment back to my employer & my wages are being garnished again. Is this legal?

Re: Garnishment

One would most likely have to review the exact wording of the judge's order of July 2007 and how this particular matter came to be before the court for its review at that time in order to offer a credible opinion on this matter.
