Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

My girlfriend and ex-wife have the same attorney...is it a conflict of interest as this attorney used prior knowledge regarding her family to argue with me over how many children were in the house and ultimately won the custody for my ex...one child is away at college and he argued incessantly that there were 5 kids living in the house not 4...should I appeal?

Could be, but knowing all this, why did you not have your own

counsel to represent you in whatever matter(s) were being controverted?
