Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

An ex girlfriend from 3 years ago now is claiming her child is mine. She wants child support. I live in PA she lives in Va. She has threatened to harm my wife and our daughter. I am still not sure the child is mine. If however the child is mine I would like to sign over all rights for the safety of my family I feel it best to not be involved with the child. My question is would I still be obligated to pay child support?

First and foremost, unless there is a prospective adoptive

parent on the horizon for this child, you are unlikely to

find any Virginia court having proper jurisdiction over this matter which

would be willing to accept your proffered termination of your parental rights

of this child, unless, of course, a formal; paternity test finds you NOT to

be the child's biological father. (And, needless to say,, finding you to be the father would necessarily require this court to order you to pay child support according to the Virginia Child Support Guidelines for this child that you now apparently would prefer to disown,)
