Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

grandparents suing for custody

My parents are suing me for custody of my 16 year old son. My son claimed (falsely) that I had hit him in the face with a belt mainly because he doesn't want to attend a new school(ADD) my mother doesn't want him to attend. The Social services investigation ruled charges unfounded. Can I force my parents to return custody before the hearing (they petitioned the court not social services)

Re: grandparents suing for custody

No, if your parents have been awarded temporary custody of your son, the issue of returning custody to you will likely have to await the scheduled hearing on the matter(in my opinion).
