Hi...my question comes today in regards to a divorce agreement and it is asking for the ''grounds''...if you could explain what this is asking in my language or what the complete sentence should consist of that i am suppose to fill in the blank with...this is what it says (gronds. In a complete sentence, state the grounds which apply to your situation and which you have chosen from the state law digest for divorce law.)please help me understand this..thanks jennifer

Grounds for divorce in Va is covered by Statute 20-91. It covers fault grounds such as adultery, desertion or cruelty and section 9(a) covers no fault grounds which would be a 12 month separation which the Code defines as 12 months - continuous uninterrupted and without cohabitation.
Doing divorce by form does not impress me as a smart way to go about it. You need the services of a competent attorney. Im sure you do not know how to practice law.
