Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

Holiday Visitation

Is it an automatic that divorced parents split holidays with the kids or does it HAVE to be all legally written in an agreement?? Can one parent deny holiday visitation that is not in any agreement?

Re: Holiday Visitation

Nothing is "automatic" with respect to such holidays or anything else in regard to an agreement between parents as to custody and visitation issues involving their children. And, yes, one parent can pull whatever shennanigans he or she thinks can be safely gotten away with which do not overtly violate any of the terms of the written agreement, including withholding holiday visitation.
