Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

I came home today to a subpoena on my door for a child custody case my son is going through with his son & the other grandparents. I DO NOT want to get involved but realize that now I have to go to court.Do I have to testify against my own son? Does my husband?(he is not my sons father) We both got a subpoena today! Thank you.

If you've been properly served, you and your husband are both required to comply with whatever the subpoenas legally compel you to do. (As far as I am

aware, there is no special privilege recognized in the law between mother

and son that would excuse you from testifying.)
