Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

hot to get child support from dead father

My sons father died before he was born and no one from his fathers side claims him. I can't prove that he was the father because we won't married. He was the only person I was with, but the guys parents don't believe that. I have talked to the local social services and they have told me that unless the father's parents will come forward, I can't get anything. I know that there is something that I can do. Do I have any legal rights to any money to help support him? If so, how do I go about doing so?

Re: hot to get child support from dead father

The answer is no, you have no legal basis to pursue money for support(or anything else) from the family of the deceased man whom you allege is the father of your son.
