Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

my husband has been having a affair for months and is paying no bills at this time and stays away for days at a time, in the past weeks I have meet someone that is solely a friendship would like to know if I am still able to quaifiy for spousal support to help with bills at this time my husband kows about this person and is holding this over my head so that I will not see a lawyer

Yes, as long as you're not more than friends with this person, this new friendship should not in and of itself impair your eligibilty to receive spousal support under current Virginia law. (And, even if you should become more than friends prior to your divorce, that should not necessarily foreclose you from receiving spousal support, depending upon the particular circumstances involved.)
