Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia
husband asked for divorce in state of VA. About a year ago he received an inheritance. Can I have share of it in divorce. It was received before he asked for divorce

Unfortunately no. In VA an inheritance is separate property of the person receiving it. The only way there is a possibility that you may be entitled to some of it is if he commingled the funds into martial property which makes it difficult to separate what was marital and what was his inheritance.
