Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

husband is attempting to file for divorce through complaint filed to dissolve marriage due to noncohabitation for the past 4 years. I want to counter sue him on grounds of dissertion and adultry. since he has already filed and I have 21 days to respond what should I do? He also wants me to pay his legal fees. Yes their is a child from the act of adultry and he packed his stuff while I was out of town and walked away from marriage and began cohabitating with his mistress. I am retired and really can't afford to hire an attorney.
