Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

My ex husband was court ordered to pay child support in April of 09. He has made one payment of 497 in Feb of 2010. What legal actions can I take to make sure he pays? The payments are being sent to division of child support. I live in va and I have full custody of my son during the school year he s going to kindergarten in agust and we are rotating weeks in the summer. Can he still have visitaion if he doesnt pay child support?

If your former husband has made only one child support payment in the

last 14 months or so, someone must pursue him for enforcement action

of the order (either you, preferably, through your lawyer or DCSE if

you have assigned your case to this agency for full services.)

And, no, you cannot deny this father visitation with his son because he hasn't

paid the child support that is now way overdue.
