Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

My husband and a co-worker of his like to sext each other through the app called Viber so I downloaded the PC version and linked it to his account so I could see all the messages exchanged. I need to know if this is considered illegal in the state of Virginia.

No, I don't see any violation of Virginia's computer trespass (Va Code Sec. 18.2-154.2) or related statutes in your conduct as described above as long as you had permission to access your husband's account and did so without any malicious intent on your part.
