Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

My husband deserted me for another man. Cleaned out savings and checking. I was always a housewife raising our daughteruntil grown. I am now not physically able to work. He is threatened to leave nothing. As for now he is giving me some alimony until divorce is settled. Can I force hgim to continue paying for now on? We were married for 31 years. Until he left he never asked me to work. I am now in my fifties and jobs are scarce.

Some homosexual acts and adultery could be looked at by the judge in a divorce case. Look to criminal code to determine if homosexual acts are in-fact illegal. Thirty one years is a long time. You should be able to obtain a fair equitable distribution and spousal support. You need a lawyer. Attorney Sheryl Shane, www.sherylshanelaw.com. Tel: 703 503 4448.
