Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

My husband left me for someone else on feb 25th he claims he filed for legal sepration on march 18th. I have not recieved any papers. He told his family he was waiting to tell me after we have gone to bankrupcy court which is june 15th. Can he do that?

Of course, he can claim anything he wants. Does that mean it's likely true?

Of course, not, particularly in view of the fact that in the Commonwealth

there is no status formally recognized as a "legal separation".
