Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

Husband and I are going through a mediator for separation. He has never shown any interest in our 2yr old son and has gone so far as to say he is jealous of him and blames the baby for the marriage problems. I have emails from his best friend and his father both concerned for his mental stability. I am afraid he is going to push for visitation with our son without supervision just to spite me. I am very uncomfortable with this. If he insists and I file that issue with the court, what should I expect. Will the judge to into consideration that he had a fist fight with his 15 yr old and threw his 14 yr old out of the house as well as the emails ? We had custody of his two other children, but both are now back with their mother full time.My husband yells loudly and has put his fist through wall several times, throws things and is overall emotionally and verbally abusive. The baby is only 2 and cant defend himself, he is not old enough to verbalize to me if anything happens while with his father. I do not want to see my child on the news.

Well, if the issue of supervised visitation is controverted in court, explain to the judge the reasons why you believe such visitation should be supervised and then let the court decide what's in the best interests of the child in regard to this particular issue.
