Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

My husband is in the military and is cureently stationed in the state of New York. Is it legal for him to file for divorce in any other state than the state that he currently resides in?

Yes, if he offically remains a valid domiciliary or resident of this

other state which while in the military he has designated as his

"home state".
