Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

Husband moves co-worker and relatives in our home

Recently my husband has moved a very questionable co-worker into our house against my will.If that wasn't enough he moved his adult son in who has questionable friends come to stay with us every weekend. My husband now enforms me that his 34 yr old adult daughter/husband/two children are moving in against my will also.Meanwhile we have three small children together and he is depleating our funds to help his adult children. All this is putting too much strain on our marriage .Do I have any rights?

Is there anyway I can get them out? Stop them from moving in?

I agree with Mr. Hendrickson's response. If, however, counseling doesn't work (or is not a viable option), and you wish to end your marriage, you may be able to ask the court for temporary orders giving you exclusive use and possession of your residence, which would force your husband to move out and give you exclusive authority to determine who enters your home. If your or your children's safety or well being is threatened, you could also obtain a protective order.

Bottom line: Consult with an attorney who can review all of the facts, protect your rights, and guide you through the process. Good luck!

I would suggest a very sincere effort on your part to persuade your husband that it would be in his best interests(as well as for all of the immediate family members)for him to participate with you in marriage counseling----ASAP.
