Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia
My husband has paid his child support every month to his ex and even give it to her early when she wanted it. The child turns 18 in a month and now the mother wants him to extend the support. She has threatened to file with the courts to make him pay longer. The child has already graduated high school. The mother called him today and told him that he would need to put the child on his insurance (auto and health) after she turns 18. Can she require him to do these things and can the court?

No and no unless he's already agreed to do it in a property
settlement agreement which has been incorporated in a final decree
of divorce.
