Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia
Me and my husband separated last may , he had an accident several months later and now he has recieved a large sum of money from the accident , am I intitled to any of the money--- we have a minor son who lives with me and we have not signed any papers saying we are separated..

On the facts that you've articulated for this situation(including your admission
that you separated from your husband more than three months ago), the funds
which you've referenced are likely to be adjudged as your husband's sole property, none of which he would be required to share with you as marital property(in my opinion).
