Getting a divorce either in Virginia or elsewhere does not

require the assent or cooperation of your spouse.

You can obtain a packet of forms with instructions from

the clerk's office of your local circuit court which explains how

to represent yourself and how to go about serving notice

of the lawsuit on the defendant spouse in circumstances where

for whatever reason a verified address for the defendant is not available.

And, if you cannot obtain this packet of forms with instructions from the clerk's office, you may be able to download it from the court's

website.
