Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

My husband walked out and left me and moved right in with his girlfriend and got engaged. He had been having an affair with her that I knew nothing about. Am I entitled to alimony? I live in Virginia.

Your right to alimony pretty much depends on the numbers. If your income is less than about 70% of his and if you are not found to have committed adultery, you have a good chance to be awarded alimony.
