Incarcerated Non Custodial Parent

In Virginia, how can the non custodial parent pay arrears if incarcerated. Currently looking at an additional year in jail for failure to pay child support arrears. Will not serve additional jail time if the arrears are paid in full? In alternatives to make arrangements to pay child support arrears?
