Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

Inheritance Law

What is the sutuation where my mother made a Will some ten years ago and left the whole of her estate to my younger brother. On the death of my mother is there any point in my contesting this Will. The Estate almost all is made up the value of my mother's house which she owns outright (about $300,000 in value)... My brother and I are the only siblings. My father died quite a few years ago and my brother has lived with my mother since then

Re: Inheritance Law

You have no leagl right without cause to contest the will. Your father was free to leave his estate to whom he pleased. The only person who can demand a legal share is a living wife.

Wills can be contested on grounds of fraud but you have to have enough evidence to even make such a claim.

Good luck.
