Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia
I am a Japanese and had a relationship with 48 yo male from VA for a pretty good while. When he came to Japan for his job, he told his co-worker and me that, one of a reason he took the job here was to be away from his wife who cheated him for 3 years. He lived with her for a year after that, but since he couldn't take it anymore, he chosed to take a new job here in Japan. Sooner after, he told me that he filed for a separation when he had to go home in VA. Since then, we've been having a relationship and went on. Everything was believable. Then in Sep, he moved back to VA temporary for a job in CT. We of course kept on our relationship and planed for me to visit him the end of this months. Sooner after I bought a plane ticket, I found out that he was communicating with his wife more than he was telling me. Now all the situation got complicated and he is back with his wife. He is not answering any of my contact. Can I make him pay for the cancellation fee? Also, we sent some of my belongings back with him because we were expecting for a possible marriage next year.

Most unlikely.
You are entitled to have your personal property returned (but not necessarily at his expense).
