Legal Question in Family Law in Virginia

I was laid off in May and started receiving unemployment filed with court to reduce support went to court they reduced it now I start a new job next week but when I went to court they told me to refile when I go back to work so they can redo the support order. I will be on a 90 trial period with the new company and am worried about taking off work for court... Can I write the judge and tell him when I start back at work and send him my paystub showing what I make and have him issue something that way? I was told by the union hall that they can't guarantee my job if I take off during that probationary period?

Write the court explaining your situation and see what they have to suggest.

Without reviewing you prior order I would suggest you file a motion to modify support and go to court. It usually takes a month or two in some of the courts to get your first court date. You should know better about your circumstances at that time. You can also ask for continuance if you require more time. Again, I did not read your first order...so this is just a general opinion.
